The whole salon is very clean and everyone works there as a team and family. Ziane the owner has mentored a very wonderful team and created a culture that you just won't find anywhere else!

Love the shape of my hair and length. Lovely to see her check in with her boss and then Jessica gets compliments on the cut. Really emphasizes the quality I am getting.

We drive up from Calgary because Jessica at Chez Soi 1912 does the best curly cuts. We highly recommend, it’s worth it if you have curly hair.

I was initially excited to try out a curly cut. I looked at the website, thought the pricing was reasonable. The hairdresser was nice and knowledgeable. However, at the end... read more of the appointment, the final price being charged was way off of what they advertised (double then what I was expecting). At no point during my appointment was it ever told to me for any reason why it might be more then what I expected it to. I was running late to get my kids, I didn't say anything and left. I thought I would give it another try, as mentioned I did like the hairdresser. So I brought my 2 kids (aged 8 and 11) for a simple trim. Nothing fancy. I had price shopped online looking at a few different places around town and the pricing advertised for a kids cut was $20 for a new hairdresser and $40 for the hairdresser I previously used. It was only $10 more then the other salons in town - so I went ahead and booked the appointment. My 8 year old's hair is still very much child-like and already short. My 11 year old's hair is long and thick, but again, it was only a trim. At no point during their appointment did anyone come to me and say that they would be charged as a women's cut. Nothing was mentioned to me at all. When it came time to check out, they changed the price, now $40 for my 8 year old and $60 for my 11 year old. When I asked why the pricing is different from what was advertised on the website, the response was very quick (probably used all the time) and she said "the website also states that the price is subject to change". Never have I been to any place of business where all of a sudden the prices can change on a whim without consulting the client PRIOR to having the service done. I find this highly unfair and very sneaky. So if you do decide to go to this place of business - watch what they charge you as they charge way above any prices advertised, and unless asked they will not say anything about it either. I will not be going back and will be updating all the people I told about this business as well. **Update, the owner did call me and apologize. She said that they will review the way they communicate the prices with customers. She offered free haircuts for my kids. I appreciated the way she reached out and hopefully they figure out a better way to handle their communication prior to the services being completed.

Jessica does an amazing job!! When you have curly hair, the salon is usually a terrifying experience, but the curl experts here truly know what they’re doing.

The salon is beautiful and in a great location too. I highly recommend this salon, especially for curly hair.

I am so fortunate to have found Zianne - she is the best hairdresser! Also a lovely person. The salon is well stocked with excellent product.
